4pt and 8pt Containers of Real
Ale
These are filled from casks that have been
pre-settled and hence have no sediment in them. The beer will be at its best
for up to 2 days from purchase. Keep cool at 8 - 10 deg C. Do not put in
the fridge. |

17pt Minipins and 34pt Polypins of
Real Ale
This beer has sediment in it and hence will
require about 24hrs to settle properly (although usually overnight is
sufficient.) The beer will have a shelf life of 1 month unopened (if it is kept
cool at around 8 - 10 deg C). Once opened it should be drunk within 1 week.
Can be supplied "bright" (so you can drink it straight away) at a small
extra charge. In this case shelf life will be 2 days from purchase as per 4pt
and 8pt containers. |

Bottled
Conditioned Beer (Single Bottles and Cases)
Our
bottles beers are all bottle conditioned. This means they have a small amount
of natural yeast sediment in the bottom of the bottle. The yeast sediment
naturally conditions the beer and also keeps it fresh. The shelf life we put on
the bottles when filled is one year. After you purchase your bottles they
should be allowed to stand overnight to re-settle the sediment. They should be
poured very carefully leaving the bottom 1/4 inch of liquid/sediment in the
bottle. Keep cool but do not refrigerate - ideally store at 10-15 deg
C. In winter if the bottles are stored in your garage or shed they may get
colder than this. If they do they will go cloudy - however they will clear
again once they warm up.
